New Managing Director for Flipper announced
Mark Gutteridge will be joining from GoCompare in July 2018
28th June, 2018 - Bristol-based auto-switching company Flipper is delighted to announce that Mark Gutteridge will be joining them as Managing Director in July 2018. Having previously led the partnerships team at traditional price comparison site GoCompare, Mark will be responsible for the company's growth, which will include strategic partnerships and brand development. He will also be launching the company's API - which will enable Flipper to seamlessly integrate with third parties - in September.
Having started his career in buying for some household names like B&Q and Amazon, Mark then went on to work in both buying and e-commerce at Screwfix, before joining GoCompare in 2013.
Mark Gutteridge says:
"I'm really looking forward to helping Flipper realise its full potential; they have pioneered a new category and have a transparent, values-led proposition that clearly works for the customer. The energy market is overwhelming for most and Flipper has an intelligent product that strips away the complexity to deliver cost savings and on-going peace of mind. Our forthcoming API will be an industry-first and will enable us to create much deeper and mutually beneficial partnerships."
Charley Maher, Board Director, Flipper says:
"We're very excited about Mark bringing his diverse range of experience to Flipper. His understanding of the traditional price comparison model will undoubtedly help us continue to lead the emerging auto-switching space. Flipper has ambitious growth plans and we expect Mark's arrival to signal a step change in the development of the product and accelerate the number of partners we work with."
About Flipper:
Founded in 2016, Flipper manages bills on behalf of its members so that they never worry about overpaying for energy again. With some simple information about usage, the Flipper algorithm scans the market to find a better energy deal. Once a saving of at least £50 is found, the flip begins. It's only at this point the £25 annual membership fee is paid and the Flipper team take care of the rest.
Every month Flipper's algorithm scans the market on behalf of each member, flipping them again if a saving of at least £50 is found. On average, members are flipped twice a year and save between £300-£400.
To date, Flipper has saved its members more than £7m and data shows that nearly 30% of its members have never used a price comparison site, demonstrating that traditionally ‘sticky' consumers find the service appealing.www.flipper.community
