WHO NEEDS ROSES? TRY 4 MILLION SNOWDROPS INSTEAD
The hustle and bustle of everyday life sometimes means that we don't show those special people in our lives how much we really do care. But as the ‘day of love' approaches why not make an extra special effort this year with an extra special visit to one of the most stunning winter gardens in the UK.
Hodsock Priory hosts its annual snowdrop spectacular each spring and on 14thFebruary is opening the doors of the wonderful Priory for guests to enjoy a special Valentine's dinner in the wonderful surroundings.
"Why settle for a dozen red roses when you could let your special person enjoy over 4 million snowdrops or a wonderful dinner?" said George Buchanan ninth generation resident and general manager Hodsock Priory. "Visitors have been captivated by the romance of our home and gardens for many years - why not experience for yourselves this year?"
A sumptuous four course dinner with champagne on arrival is priced at just £50 per person and will be served in the luxurious surroundings of the Panelled Hall. And, if you're planning on proposing during the evening Hodsock will gladly provide you with a complimentary bottle of Champagne to celebrate! Or, you may just fancy a wander through the beautiful gardens and a lovely lunch of afternoon tea in the bespoke Snowdrop Village.
"Hodsock is such a special place to spend time with your favourite person or your whole family," said George. "So, whether you are looking for some peace and quiet on your own or want to have family fun, Hodsock is the perfect place to enjoy winter at its best."
2013 is the first year that special events will be taking place each weekend including ‘Beer and Bangers' and food and country fairs.
