iDeal Displays to sponsor Tour de Troops endurance cycling event

Swindon professional signage company iDeal Displays is delighted to announce its support of the Tour de Troops endurance cycling challenge.

iDeal Displays, who also specialise in providing exhibition stands for businesses across the world, join L3 TRL technology and Anchor Vans as sponsors of the event, a five-day cycle between Land's End and John O'Groats taking place between Thursday 7 June and Monday 11 June.

The company will be providing the signage for the support vehicles which are due to follow the riders on their mammoth journey, which takes in the 874 miles between Great Britain's two most extreme points.

The Tour de Troops, which is back after initial success in its first year in 2017, was founded by Captain James Wadsworth CGC and forms part of the Captain James Wadsworth Challenge, alongside the Victory Swim, the annual water-based challenge taking place in Gloucestershire in September.

The Tour, which puts participants' fitness and endurance to the limit – the route between Land's End and John O'Groats takes most cyclist between 10 and 14 days to complete – aims to raise money for the Felix Fund, a charity supporting the Explosive Ordnance Disposal community.

iDeal Displays' support for the event is the latest in a long line of charitable contributions to the Felix Fund – the company has previously helped out the charity with a number of stand designs and collaterals.

Chris Brazil, the managing director of iDeal Displays, said: “We're elated to have been given the opportunity to join a number of other great companies in sponsoring the Tour de Troops event and supporting the Felix Fund, which does so much great work in supporting both serving and ex-bomb disposal experts."

“We've helped the charity with a number of events before, but this is by far the biggest and most challenging we've been part of – we'd encourage anyone who fancies pushing themselves that extra mile to get signed up. It's all for a great cause!”
