Announcement from Douglas Quinn, Chairman NFA Group

 3rd May 2018

Iain Anderson, Chief Executive of NFA Group will be standing down from his position later this year and will become a Non-Executive Director.

He will be succeeded by David Leatherbarrow.

Douglas Quinn, NFA Group Chairman, said "Over the last ten years, Iain's exceptional leadership, passion and commitment have led to NFA Group becoming the largest independent children's services provider in the United Kingdom. On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Iain for what has been achieved under his leadership. We are delighted the Board will be retaining his skills and experience in his capacity as a Non-Executive Director."

Iain Anderson added "I have thoroughly enjoyed and am immensely proud of what we have achieved in the last ten years. It has been a privilege to lead a team that makes a real difference every day to the lives of the children and young people entrusted to our care. With the completion of the integration of Acorn Care and Education, it is a great time for me to transition to a new role and for a new CEO to lead the Group to the next stage of its growth and development. I look forward to my continuing involvement as a Non-Executive Director."

Douglas continued "I am delighted to announce the appointment of David Leatherbarrow as Iain's successor. David joins NFA Group from Bupa Dental Care, one of the largest providers of dental care in the world, operating from over 450 practices in the UK and Ireland where he was part of the management team which led the sale of Oasis to BUPA. Prior to his seven years in dentistry, David worked in senior operational and marketing roles in the fitness and hospitality sector, working amongst others for Whitbread and Wetherspoon."

David Leatherbarrow commented: "I am delighted to be joining such a successful, quality driven company and very much look forward to working with the team at NFA Group, to lead the business through its next stage of growth."

Douglas concluded "The Board is pleased to welcome David to the Group, and with the support of the experienced Leadership Team and all the NFA Group staff, our focus will remain, as always on our high standards of quality and support for the children and young people we look after."
