Tax Preparation Specialists Launch ‘Knowledge is Power' Campaign with Seminar for Construction CIS Workers

DSR Tax Claims today launched their ‘Knowledge is Power' campaign aimed at construction workers within the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) with a free seminar on allowable expenses. The seminar will take place on Wednesday 11thApril at their Nottinghamshire office and is intended to provide free advice and guidance on taxation issues and allowable expenses for construction workers. Tax expert and founder ofDSR Tax Claims, David Redfern, has launched the ‘Knowledge is Power' campaign to increase awareness in the construction industry of taxation issues which impact on construction workers.

Speaking of the campaign, Redfern stated that "as we have seen in recent weeks and months with theIR35 confusion, construction workers working as contractors under the CIS are lacking advice and guidance on taxation issues, especially with regard to their allowable expenses. As with our IR35 campaign, we have always aimed to make tax advice accessible to the average worker who doesn't have access to expensive expert advice and that is why DSR Tax Claims are launching our ‘Knowledge is Power' campaign to bring that expert advice to those who need it".

As well as the evening seminar on allowable expenses, the Knowledge is Power campaign will also incorporate providing detailed guidance on tax and expenses issues for different categories ofCISconstruction workers as well as increasing awareness of the ways in which construction workers can capitalise ontheir allowable expenses without falling foul of HMRC rules and regulations. The campaign kicks off with the allowable expenses seminar on Wednesday 11thApril at 7.30pm - the event is free but places are limited so interested parties are advised to call DSR Tax Claims on 0115 795 0232 to book their place as soon as possible. Refreshments will be provided for attendees.
