The Business Network to launch Central and East Lancashire group

The Business Networkhas announced its intention to amalgamate its Pennine Lancashire and Preston groups on 23 January 2013 to create The Business Network Central and East Lancashire. The new ‘supergroup' will have a membership of 115 and around 20 new guests from the Preston, Blackburn and Burnley business communities at its monthly lunchtime events.

The Business Network host, Karen Tems, who also runs events in South Manchester and Bolton & Bury, explains the rationale behind the launch:

"It was a true light-bulb moment. We were inspired to combine the two networking groups following the outstanding success and positive feedback of the September joint event to celebrate the Preston Guild. It was the logical choice, particularly as Preston, Blackburn and Burnley are so close to each other.

"The merger will have obvious benefits to our members, not least of which is the increased numbers at each event. Membership will automatically be transferred to the new group, where there will be improved opportunities for networking and the first class venues will be as familiar as before."

Karen Tems is eager to illustrate the benefits of networking, including building connections and transferring knowledge: "Our regular members and guests have made countless high value introductions, collaborated on new client projects, offered valuable educational seminars and mentored each other's companies to create a supportive community of high quality businesses and key decision makers. We are sure that the larger group will open up even more opportunities."

Prior to the launch of The Business Network Central and East Lancashire in January a joint Christmas event will take place on Thursday, 13th December 2012 at Stanley House Hotel & Spa, Mellor.
