Kitchen blues - the faded denim look of the Diesel Social Kitchen by Scavolini
This is the blue Diesel Social kitchen by Scavolini available from the Multiliving store in London. This informal, rough luxe range of kitchens designed in an collaboration with Diesel and Scavolini, have the laid-back look that defines the iconic Italian fashion brand.
The Diesel Social kitchen is a vintage, lived-in industrial looking kitchen that creates a warm, informal, inviting atmosphere.
The uneven colours of the cabinets are achieved by painting on untreated wood in indigo that has soaked into the wood to give the patina of a faded pair of jeans. The dark stainless steel peninsular and black moulded chairs add to the overall rough luxe inspired look. The stunning, industrial style mottled stainless steel, retro cupboard is part of the Diesel Misfits range - designed to complement the Diesel Social models.
Choosing a Diesel kitchen means you can create a truly personalised Diesel kitchen, so that by combining different cabinet finishes, with a choice of worktops, handles and materials to so that no two Diesel Social kitchens in the range look the same. What they do share in common though is that they alll have a welcoming informal atmosphere, designed for cooking and socialising.
The use of different materials and finishes create the overall, eclectic, informal, retro look. Steel rivets in the steel Diesel kitchen table, wired class cabinet doors and blackboard doors, coloured metal open shelving and aged metal to combine industrial styling with a retro, lived in look.
There are two types of steel used in the Diesel Social kitchen, one spotless steel, like normal stainless steel and the other is a special steel created for the range which has a smoky, patchy effect as seen on industrial looking cooker hood.
The overall look of the Diesel Social kitchen is a vintage, lived-in industrial look, creating a warm, informal, inviting atmosphere.
