Muddy Carrot chocolate celebration cake prize lived up to its name
A scrumptious chocolate celebration cake supplied as a draw prize by a Wiltshire cake-making specialist really lived up to its name.
The delicious £55 cake, created by Buns in the Oven, of Westbury, was the main prize in a draw to mark the launch of Muddy Carrot, the website that champions locally sourced items.
It was won by Caroline Price, of Evesham, Worcester, who gave it to her son David Price and fiancée Rachel Trembath to celebrate their engagement. David and Rachel plan to marry next June at Ludlow Castle.
Buns in the Oven owner Emily Walker, right, presented the delicious vanilla bean sponge, layered with dark chocolate ganache and decorated with chocolate scrolls and fresh fruit to the delighted winner.
Caroline, who runs a fair trade business and entered the Muddy Carrot draw after seeing a promotion on popular social networking site, Facebook, says, "The cakewas absolutely beautiful. It was really delicious and we enjoyed it enormously!
"I appreciate how important small businesses are and how they can all contribute something unique and personally produced - especially items that are ethically and locally sourced."
