Electric bikes from Easy Bike Days make cycling fun, healthy and easy

PRESS RELEASE

Electric bikes from Easy Bike Days make cycling fun, healthy and easy!

[image]A new business has been launched in the South West offering all the fun and health benefits of cycling - without the effort.

Easy Bike Days is the perfect solution for those who have been encouraged to get on their bikes by the achievements of Team GBOlympic cycling teamand Tour de France winner,Bradley Wiggins, but want a gentler way in.

Easy Bike Days (www.easybikedays.com) founded by experienced cycling instructor Kate Howell, (pictured right) hires out state-of-the-art electric bikes for days or half-days in Devon and Somerset, starting from just £18.

[image]She also runs guided tours (pictured below right) for those less confident about riding around narrow country lanes on their own, which can be intimidating for less experienced cyclists,or for those wanting an enjoyable day without the need to map-read.These start from just £28.

The pedal-assisted ‘pedlec' electric bikes make it easy for riders to cruise through the stunning West country scenery, climb up challenging hills, provide a rewarding and healthy holiday experience or half or whole day out and help seek out award winning tea shops, delis and traditional country pubs in the beautiful area.

Kate, who has enjoyed cycling since childhood and now runs Bikeability, 21st century cycling proficiency courses for local schools, says, "The electric bikes make it effortless to go up hills. Even my Mum, who is 70 and has had two hip replacements, loves them, especially the fact that she can go up hillseasier.

"I love cycling, history and the enjoyment of being out in the beautiful countryside, as well as the fitness and health benefits it brings. Electric bikes make the countryside more accessible, allowing riders to admire the stunning local scenery rather than struggling with having to pedal hard."

With electric bikes, riders do pedal, but much less effort is required as the motor gently kicks in and helps power the cycle. The amount of power required is controlled by the rider. Braking is similar to an ordinary cycle.

The top-quality Kalkhoff Agattu electric bikes used by Easy Bike Days are each worth around £2,000. Their eight hub gears can be changed even when the rider is not pedalling. The bike's Panasonic Centre 250W motor system and electronic sensors judge just how much power to apply to assist the rider.

Easy Bike Days' electric cycles come complete with helmets, gold-standard secure locks, bags and cycle computer at no extra charge.

Easy Bike Days really does make it easy for the user, as it delivers the bike to the customer's address up to five miles from the village of Willand, near Cullompton, Mid-Devon, and picks them up afterwards - all for free. Addresses further afield incur a small extra charge and the electric bikes can be delivered to nearby train stations.

Its step-through electric bikes are simple to operate and are ideal for both young and older cyclists.

By law, under -14s are not allowed to ride electric bikes. Those aged 14 can hire electric cycles at Easy Day Bikes, as long as they are supervised by adults aged at least 21.

Younger members of the family can still join in the fun and enjoy a day out, as Easy Bike Days provides trailers and tag-alongs that can be easily towed behind the cycles or the option of child seats.

Easy Bike Days also offers special bike tours, including a Photography on Two Wheels course or bespoke tours for family, friends, hen parties, work events and more.

Its Guided Tours are available daily and start and finish from convenient locations. They include the Mid Devon Tour, exploring the Grand Western Canal Country Park and its surrounding villages; the Neroche Trail over the Blackdown Hills; finding the secrets of the Yarty Valley and completing the Hemyock Parish Journey, where locals were known for being ‘wild and nefarious'. Prices include electric bike hire and the services of an informative and knowledgeable guide.

Kate is hoping to attract local clients who use the electric bikes as an effortless and convenient way to get around and explore new areas, as well as day-trippers and holidaymakers wanting to explore the region and have a memorable day out.
