Final push for charity Christmas bash to raise money for Whiston maternity unit
With just 25 days to go until the final fundraising event of the year, the Baby Loss Foundation is looking to boost its £10,000 lump sum, which will be handed over to Whiston Hospital before Christmas, with further ticket sales to its Christmas Party.
The party will be held on 2nd December and everyone is welcome. Tickets are £25 per person and include live music by local band, The Alchemists, Haydock-based DJ Stephen Jackson and a huge all you can eat banquet. It starts at 7.30pm and will be held at St Patrick's Social Club, Newton-le-Willows.
The event has been part-funded by the Wargrave Big Local, a Big Lottery funded scheme set up to benefit local residents.
The Baby Loss Foundation was set up in 2013 following the stillbirth of founder member's third child. Katy Quinn rallied friends and other bereaved parents who have spent the past three years fundraising to make improvements which will benefit other parents like them. Together they have raffled, danced, bungeed, run and held other events to pull together the £10,000 cash pot.
Tickets can be bought online https://www.goldengiving.com/event/BLFRockChristmas or by calling Katy on 0777 9619922.
Katy said, "If anyone is looking to organise a group party for Christmas, be it works do, or group of at-home-parents who fancy a night we would really like to see them there. We had a fabulous time last year and it would be really great to hand over as much money as possible before Christmas".
