NEWS RELEASE: It's a Hat Trick for Perth Marketing Firm Volpa

Hat Trick: Perth marketing firm Volpa takes Scotland’s top event marketing title for third time

Perth-based integrated communications agency Volpa topped the charts at last night’s The DRUM Scottish Event Awards, taking the title for Best Marketing & PR Strategy for the third time in the awards’ programme’s 9 year history. The winners were announced at a glittering event held in Glasgow last night. The firm and their client The Enchanted Forest were also recognised with the Chairman’s Award, and the event also took the title for Best Large Event.

Beating off stiff competition in the marketing category, Volpa has dominated in Marketing & PR strategy over the last 9 years, now clocking up an impressive 3 wins and 3 commendations for their marketing efforts for one of Scotland’s leading events, the sound and light show spectacular The Enchanted Forest. It is the only marketing agency in Scotland to have won the title more than once since the awards scheme launched in 2008.

Commenting on the win, Tricia Fox, founder of Volpa said:

"I’m so taken aback to have won this title for a third time. Our team thoroughly enjoy working with The Enchanted Forest and have worked with The Enchanted Forest Community Trust to help this event grow from just 17,000 visitors to over 65,000 visitors who are expected to attend this year. The calibre of events and companies shortlisted at these awards places us among the best in Scotland. This makes me very proud to be a Perth business owner flying the flag for Perthshire."

The news follows a string of success and accolades for Volpa, set up in 2002 by Perth serial entrepreneur and marketer Tricia Fox. It was recently ranked as one of the top 50 small independent marketing agencies in the U.K. in a census by the Recommended Agency Register (RAR) and The Drum magazine. Volpa came in at number 44, a jump of 66 places in a year. And, in a win for agencies north of the border, Volpa was the top Scottish agency in its category.

Volpa was also recently shortlisted for two Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards, for Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy and Integrated Campaign for its work on The Enchanted Forest sound and light sho, the results for which will be announced next week at a ceremony in Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh.

Volpa provides public relations, marketing, digital and design services to clients that include The Famous Grouse Experience, Scone Palace, Inveralmond Brewery, St. Andrews Aquarium, Culture Perth and Kinross, the Crieff Hydro group of hotels, Horsecross Arts, Stirling Venues and Scottish Squash.
