A range of TREMCO damp proof membranes for the education sector

ES100 Single Coat DPM, a single-coat, two-part epoxy DPM, suitable for use up to 97% RH (99.7% RH theoretically)

Understanding the specific requirements of a project is the key for any manufacturer if they are going to go on and recommend an appropriate system. A critical part to any system is the damp proof membrane (DPM); get this wrong and the entire floor could fail. TREMCO has a range of epoxy and water-based products that can be used depending on the specific project requirements.

TREMCO has vast levels of experience when it comes to recommending a solution for the refurbishment of schools. Over 10 years ago, TREMCO worked with contractor, Gladston Contract Flooring, on the flooring installation of several school buildings in the Exeter area which featured underfloor heating, which was almost unheard of in those days.

For this project, TREMCO recommended its flagship product, ES100 Single Coat DPM, which is a single-coat, two-part epoxy DPM and is suitable for use up to 97% RH (99.7% RH theoretically). Used in conjunction with TREMCO CS100 Epoxy Primer followed by TREMCO SX300 NA High Performance Latex underlayment, a durable and long-lasting solution was provided which is still giving excellent service today.

When a rapid turnaround is required, TREMCO ES200 Rapid Cure DPM can be used. With a curing time of just four hours, this single coat product can help reduce time on site. When used in conjunction with TREMCO's SX500 Rapid Drying Smoothing Compound, flooring contractors can prepare the floor and lay floorcoverings within just one day.
