Chance to recognise good neighbours

Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) is planning to recognise customers who go the extra mile to help others or develop community spirit.

At its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September, the area's largest landlord will present a special Good Neighbour Award, and it is now appealing for local residents to come forward to nominate deserving SARH customers.

The annual accolade has previously been awarded to individuals who have helped look after vulnerable neighbours or led community activities.

Karen Armitage, SARH Chief Executive, commented: "The award provides us with an opportunity to recognise the fantastic efforts of those who have worked to make Stafford and the surrounding area a better place to live.

"The awards are open to anyone who lives in a property managed by SARH, although anyone can put forward a nomination.

"We are looking for individuals who have made a real contribution to the community in which they live, or have shown a willingness to put others before themselves."

The closing date for nominations is Thursday, September 8 and the winner will be announced at the housing association's AGM, which takes place later this month.

Nominations can be submitted via the SARH website,www.sarh.co.ukor by calling0800 111 4554.
