BIG RAIL FIRMS DODGE CHEAP FARES.

The cheapest rail fares are being hidden from cash strapped travellers by the Big Train Operators. They are also being concealed at station ticket machines. Journeys with up to 80% savings can be found on journeys with stops by booking ‘split tickets' online.

These hidden savings can be found on independent online bookers like Trainsplit or Raileasy.

It means you have to carry a few extra tickets but it'll be on the same train, at the same time. You can even pick them up at a station ticket machine. Louise Ellman of the Commons Transport Select Committee stated "It's clear that passengers are being left confused and at worst paying a lot more than they need to".

If the Big Rail Firms find it too complicated to offer these cheaper tickets, but would like to offer cheap rail travel, then they should do the right thing and direct them to the vendors like Trainsplit, who can offer these low cost fares.
