Logierait
holiday log cabins up for sale
A collection of holiday cabins which hit
the headlines last year is up for sale.
Logierait Pine Lodges, a set of 15 holiday
homes situated on the banks of the River Tay, are for sale for offers at or
around £600,000. They comprise five one-bedroom units, nine 2-bedroom cabins
and a 3-bedroom unit and form a holiday park in the small hamlet of Logierait,
between Aberfeldy and Pitlochry.
The lodges, which bring in around £50,000
in rent a year, were at the centre of an incident last year in which a man staying
there constructed an amateur nail-bomb. The park was evacuated and a bomb
disposal team called in after the man was found in a chalet with a suicide note
and the improvised bomb. The man was later jailed. Nobody was hurt in the
incident.
The chalets are being sold along with two residential
2-storey buildings, one a manager’s house and the other a former post office.
Owned by Castlecroft Securities, they are on long-term let to Fusion Group UK.
