AERIAL IMAGE IS ICONIC PRIZE WINNER
Monday, 13 June 2016
For Immediate Release
Leading Milton Keynes digital agencyMK21has been on the hunt for the ultimate iconic image of the new city. The competition was strong with upward of 90 amateur and professional photographers vying for the £250 prize, and the chance to be featured in a 2017 charity calendar.
The winning photo was taken by Adam Close of DroneMK.co.uk - a local aerial photography company. As well as being used across MK21's website and marketing collateral, the image will be the lead photo in the charity calendar which goes on sale later this year, online and from the Visitor Information Centre at thecentre:mk.
MK21 Managing Director Oliver Dean was impressed with the standard of entries, saying "I knew there were a lot of photographers out there, and a lot of them love MK as much as I do, but I didn't realise how much talent there was to choose from. It was difficult to select the final 12 for the calendar, but I know it's going to be amazing - the perfect present for MK's 50thBirthday!"
A cheque for £250 was presented to the winner by Oliver and Iain Stewart, MP for Milton Keynes South, at a presentation event at the MK Rose in Campbell Park - a landmark which features prominently in the winning image.
