flows for BVG with new AX solution
Award-winning, multi-channel retail business enhances its Microsoft Dynamics AX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution as it anticipates sales growth of more than 50% within the next 12 months.
BVG Airflo Group is working with international consultancy Columbus to evolve its existing solution in order to respond to an upsurge in enquiries from its ecommerce platform. The company, which focuses on a number of markets including home and garden goods, garden buildings, shoe and clothing and sports products, has seen the e-commerce side of the business grow rapidly since first investing in a customised retail solution from Columbus.
Currently, the company processes in excess of 2million orders a year aided predominantly by the company’s ability to offer both same day and next day delivery options. The multi-channel strategy of the business means the company also has successful market place and mail order divisions; with more than 20 million catalogues being produced by the company each year. In order to support this, the business is working with Columbus to evolve its existing ERP solution and, in particular, modules including Advanced Warehouse Management and Transport Management.
