South West Media Buying Agency helps beat cancer by accepting Longest Day Golf Challenge

A South West media buying agency which normally views a few rounds of golf as an opportunity to cement its client relationships, has signed up to the MacMillan Longest Day Golf Challenge which is a fantastic fund raising initiative designed to test even the keenest golfer's endurance levels.

On Friday 17 June at Cumberwell Park Golf Club in Bradford on Avon, senior colleagues from independent media buying agency Mostly Media will be using all their strength, powers and drive to overcome 72 holes, over 300 shots and a 20 mile plus walk to raise what they hope will be in excess of £4K to support MacMillan. http://www.macmillan.org.uk/about-us/longest-day-golf.html

[image]Aiming for an early start at 5am, Director Stuart Smith, Media Manager James Thompson, Commercial Manager Leigh Robinson and Head of Studio Simon Radcliffe aren't expecting to finish the Challenge much before 10pm in the evening.

Stuart says, "The reason we are doing it is simple - we all know people who are affected by this truly rubbish disease and we want to help them and their families... and let's face it our knees are not strong enough to do a Marathon. This is our Marathon. To non-golfers this may sound like a nice day out but regular players will know that this is a huge challenge.

"Four rounds of golf in a day is incredibly tough...the most any of us have ever done is two in a day which is hard enough. As a business we enjoy supporting charities and hold our own annual golf day in support of CLIC Sargent for clients and partners but as a physical challenge this is on another level. We urge local businesses to dig deep and donate in support of this brilliant cause"
