Girls encouraged to consider future in construction

Girls from a Stafford school are to visit the site of a new housing development as part of an initiative to encourage them to consider a career in the construction industry.

The site visit at West Way (ST17 9UU) has been organised by developer Novus together with the housing association behind the scheme, Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH).

During the visit 11 girls from Barnfields Primary School will receive a safety briefing, information pack and an insight into the many career options available within the industry.

They will also be able to chat with Laura Ingram, Development Project Manager at SARH, who will share her experiences of working in the industry.

Laura, and other representatives of SARH and Novus will be available for interview on the day and you are invited to send a reporter/photographer to this event. Please contact Martin Farrow at Changeworks Communications on 01785 247588 or 07771 970025 to confirm your attendance or for further information. A full press release will be issued following the event.
