This Whit Week, as part of Open Studios Cornwall, more than 40 artists and designer-makers at Redruth's Krowji Arts Centre will open their doors to collectors and the general public, offering visitors a unique opportunity to view and buy new work and engage directly with artists regarding their inspirations and working practice.

Painter Kerry Harding, a graduate of the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art at Oxford University and Falmouth College of Art, will be presenting new and previously exhibited works for sale, alongside an exclusive preview of her forthcoming Bath Contemporary Fine Art collection, which reflects the artist's intense engagement with the landscape of the South West.

‘I look forward to the Open Studios event every year' says Kerry. ‘It allows me to sit back take a break from exhibition deadlines and the rigour of the working process, meet new people, and consider my work in the context of the conversations that unfold. It is a rare delight to be able to speak for my paintings in person, and spend one to one time discussing my practice with visitors and buyers.'

From Saturday 28 May the Krowji Open Studios event also includes an activity trail for children, courtyard displays by Yskynna Aerial Arts company and entertainment from local choirs and musicians including singer-songwriter Tom Dale on the first morning of the event. Krowji's onsite eatery the Melting Pot Café will be open daily for food and refreshments.

See Kerry's work as part of Open Studios Cornwall on Sat 28, Sun 29 & Mon 30 May and Sat 4 & Sun 5 June, 10am-5pm daily at studio W23a, Krowji, West Park, Redruth, Cornwall, TR153AJ.
