Chak 89 sponsor award for Outstanding Achievement in Television at The Asian Awards
Big Bang Theory star, Kunal Nayyar, took home the coveted ‘Outstanding Achievement in Television' award at this years Asian Awards, following in the footsteps of other well known Asian TV personalities such as; Sanjeev Bhaskar, Gok Wan and Nina Wadia.
The Asian Awards is the only event, which honours Asian success across all walks of life, inspiring achievement and highlighting inspirational role models in the fields of business, sport, entertainment, philanthropy and popular arts and culture.
The star-studded annual bash, which attracts a host of high profile names from across the music, TV, film and industry, was held at London's exclusive Grosvenor House Hotel on the 8th of April 2016. Chak 89, sponsors of the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Television' award, joined a host of well-known businesses such as IT giants HP, Rolls Royce Motor Cars and premier drinks brand, Chivas Regal, in supporting the event.

Kunal Nayyar, in conversation with Chak 89's founder, Frank Khalid said, "Thank you so much for the award, and I wish you the best of luck with the Chak 89 restaurant".
Other celebrities in attendance at The Asian Awards include James Vardy, Lindsay Lohan, Adil Ray, Emeli Sande and Naughty Boy to mention a few. Chak 89, one of the South's most prestigious Indian banqueting suites, are no strangers to the world of celebrity, and often have guests such as boxer David Haye, singer Imran Khan, athlete Mo Farrah and actor Danny Dyer visit their well-known establishment.
Frank Khalid, Founder of Chak 89, said, "We were honoured to be a part of the event. I know how hard you have to work to get to where these incredible people are now. It takes a lot of dedication, persistence and sweat and tears. All of the nominees were worthy of the award however, having seen Kunal Nayyar's rise to fame, there was only one person the award could go to in my eyes. He is inspiring a new wave of young, Asian actors and actresses to enter the western TV industry, and I applaud him for that. I would like to take this opportunity to say congratulations again to Kunal, and long may his achievements continue".
