SHERIDAN LAUNCHES KITCHEN WORKTOP INSTALLER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Europe's largest manufacturer and supplier of luxury bespoke kitchen worktops Sheridan Fabrications is launching a new award scheme to recognise installers of its products who demonstrate excellent workmanship and customer service.
The inaugural Sheridan Installer of the Year Award coincides with the Yorkshire-based firm's 20th anniversary and will be announced at a ceremony at Sheridan's Normanton office in December. The winner will receive equipment to the value of £500 in recognition of their achievement.
Managing director John Blackburn started Sheridan Fabrications with two employees in a 1,500 sq ft factory in Bradford. Now, the company employs around 200 people at its 130,000 sq ft Normanton site and 100 plus sub contract installers across the UK and Ireland. The turnover for 2016 will be in excess of £23m. Retail and trade giants including Wickes, Ikea, Magnet, Homebase, Benchmarx and Jewson are among its customers.
"This new award will be a celebration of the very best standards in worktop installation and customer service by installers using Sheridan products," said John.
"In our 20th anniversary year, we're celebrating our achievements with a number of promotions and activities for our customers and the team based in our Yorkshire factory. We believe the Installer of the Year award will help us find and reward the member of our template and installations team who has achieved the very highest standard of workmanship throughout the year - after all, they have played a huge part in our business success too," added John.
Installers will need to ask their customers to complete a questionnaire after fitting has taken place. Information from these questionnaires combined with internal quality control procedures will be used to decide who will receive the very first Installer of the Year Award in December 2016.
