"We need men!" That's the call from Embodied Living, an organisation that delivers well-being classes in Stafford using body-based psychotherapy techniques.
On Saturday 30th April, Sue Tupling, psychotherapist and yoga teacher, will be running a ‘What the Body Knows' workshop and men are being offered free places at the potentially life-changing event.
"To get the right gender balance we need more men to attend," Sue explained.
The workshop will teach people the basics of accommodation and the meeting of basic needs in self and other; this uses the concept of ideal figures that satisfy unmet needs from their childhood.
Sue said: "You may be feeling depressed, isolated, stuck or anxious - either in your personal life or at work. This can come down to experiences from your past, we hold onto these feelings and past experiences in our bodies and it is only by truly understanding what our bodies have to teach us, that we can ever really let go.
"Pesso Boyden therapy (PBSP) is a way of enabling people to experience the full intelligence of their body mind and come to terms with the past and make changes in the future.
During the workshop participants will learn some gentle and powerful PBSP experiential activities and yoga techniques to look at what surfaces from their bodies and the meaning they make in the world. By taking part in this workshop, in a safe and supportive group people can begin to overcome pass traumas, wounds and losses.
This workshop is designed for anyone over the age of 18, at a cost of £25. Men will receive a free place.
The workshop will run on Saturday 30th April from 10am-1pm at St Albans House, St Albans Road, Stafford, ST16 3DP.
If you would like to get involved or find out any more information about the workshops please contact Sue Tupling on 07411178380 or visit the website www.embodiedliving.co.uk for more details.
