Press Release | St Ives' Leach Pottery Announce New Gift List Service

   PRESS RELEASE for immediate use 18 / 03 / 16

Announcing the launch of our Gift List service

Leach Pottery Standard Ware, part of the collection available as part of the new Gift List service

New for 2016, St Ives’ Leach Pottery announce the launch of a new Gift List service, which allows you to choose individual pieces from our gorgeous range of handmade tableware and create your own bespoke gift list online. Whether you are celebrating your wedding, a special birthday, an anniversary or setting up a new home, you can choose pieces from any of our standard ware or porcelain ranges and then share your list with friends and family. They will then be able to log in to your private page and make purchases from your list.

All our pieces are made and fired on site by our team of skilled production potters, and draw on the creative principles established by internationally celebrated potter Bernard Leach, who established the pottery in 1920. Today each piece is made, as it always was, with local Cornish clay and is designed for both function and beauty.

If you would like to discuss your ideas with our friendly staff we will be happy to get you started. We can make arrangements for you to visit our shop in St. Ives and show you our ranges, or chat with you by phone and talk you through creating your list from our online shop. We can also send you our new catalogue with details of all our standard ware.

Notes to Editors:

The Leach Pottery is managed by the Bernard Leach (St Ives) Trust Ltd, a registered charity founded in 2005 reg. no 1111263. The primary objectives of the trust are to further the development of studio pottery, provide training in the art, craft and making of pottery and to advance the public education of the life and work of Bernard Leach and his circle.

The Leach Pottery’s dedication to providing student and apprentice opportunities and excellence in training has resulted in its selection as one of the UK’s new Craft Trailblazers, a group of key employers who have set the national standards for new government backed craft apprenticeship guidelines.
