SK Foods, a frozen and chilled foods supplier to the restaurant trade, has installed an advanced vehicle tracking solution from Ctrack to streamline its delivery operation and enhance customer service. The company will monitor its fleet of refrigerated vans using the web-based Ctrack Online system to gain added visibility of their whereabouts and target operational improvements such as fuel savings and more jobs per day.
SK Foods is committed to providing a fast and efficient service to customers from its central base in South Ruislip, Middlesex. The refrigerated vans are operated in two shifts up to 11pm at night, within a 200 mile radius of the company’s warehouse, so SK Foods needed a tracking solution that would provide peace of mind that it was meeting customer requirements. This included having access to vehicle locations and status via a mobile device to respond to any out of office hours enquiries.
Ctrack Online will allow SK Foods to have full visibility of its multi-drop operation, making sure deliveries are made on time in the most effective manner. It will also help to identify any wastage within the fleet and enable the company to verify if the most efficient routes are being taken, achieving time and cost savings moving forward.
Rumel Kamaly, Sales Director at SK Foods commented: “Our aim as a business has always been to eliminate the flawsof bad quality products and inconsistent delivery times provided by other suppliers. We anticipate that Ctrack Online will support this commitment, by providing the necessary insight into our fleet operation to ensure orders are delivered on-time, efficiently and in the best possible manner.”
John Wisdom, Managing
Director of Ctrack commented: “We have become partner of choice for a wide
range of private and public sector customers, helping overcome some of the most
common and difficult challenges facing the fleet sector. Our vehicle tracking
solutions are able to deliver real advantage by enabling fleets of all sizes to
address business critical performance issues as a result of greater operational
visibility, control and efficiency.”
