Bellevue was built between 1735 and 1750 and is one of the first plantation residences on the island. The original house was constructed in ‘Caribbean Georgian' style, an expression coined to describe the many tropical adaptations to classic Georgian architecture that is unique to the West Indies. The House was purchased in 2008 by the current owners, British developers Paul Andrews and his partner, Sarah Jane Gaselee, and Simon Briggs, who have sensitively refurbished the House combining informal modern luxury with the grand style and gracious living of a bygone era.
