Anyone in Stafford suffering from the symptoms of post traumatic stress is being offered help by a clinical psychotherapist and yoga teacher is offering local individuals the opportunity to overcome symptoms of post traumatic stress.

Every Thursday, Sue Tupling a UKCP registered psychotherapist runs a trauma sensitive class which helps trauma survivors deal with their symptoms. The class draws on mindfulness-based practises and attendees will come away feeling calmer and more in control. Ideal for beginners or those more experienced in yoga, it combines simple mindfulness-based yoga practices in a small, safe group.

Sue explained, "Mindfullness-based integral yoga with a sensitive teacher and some considersations for a trauma sensitive practice can be helpful in trauma recovery".

"The techniques have proven helpful for many symptoms of trauma including flashbacks, avoiding activities, places and people, lost interest in usual activities, feeling detached from other people, negative emotional changes, having trouble sleeping, outbursts of anger and having problems concentrating."

As a qualified and experienced coach, counsellor, psychotherapist and yoga teacher, Sue aims to help people tolerate difficult feelings and sensations, moderate their high states of stress or anxiety and engage in taking effective action.

The classes are open to anyone aged 18 or over and run every Thursday from 6pm-7:30pm at St Albans House, St Albans Road, Stafford, ST16 3DP and costs £10.
