Beat Stress with a New One Day ‘Feel Good' Workshop

WORKERS in Stafford are amongst those feeling greater pressure and stress at work than in any other region since the start of the economic downturn,a survey of UK workers reveals.

Nearly half of us are feeling more stress at work and long term stress is linked to many illnesses and diseases from alcoholism to arthritis, cancer and heart disease.

A new one day ‘feel good' workshop -Emotional Wellbeing Through Yoga and Mindfulness- is intended to help Stafford residents relieve the symptoms of stress and anxiety.

Delegates will learn techniques of restorative yoga, mindfulness and meditation to relax on a deep level, to feel more energized and balanced, gain control over emotions and have a calmer, happier mind.

Sue Tupling, course leader, psychotherapist and yoga teacher, says: "We need to learn techniques that increase our ‘feel good factor' to remove the negative effects of stress. The pressure of modern life is unlikely to go away so it is our responsibility to protect ourselves against the damage stress can cause."

The workshop includes time spent on six specially designed workstations for deep restorative practices with guided relaxations and self hypnosis practices.

All attendees will get a free CD of hypnotherapy practices/meditations to take away with you to continue the benefits of the practices at home.

The workshop, which runs on Saturday 12thMay, at Acton Trussell Community Centre, Acton Hill Road, Acton Trussell is being offered at a special rate of just £30.
