Peter puts his money where his mouth is!

And when TREMCO area sales manager, Peter Bitten, tells you about "Lasting Performance" you can be sure he knows what he's talking about.

For not only is he an expert in structural waterproofing products, he is also the living embodiment of the slogan, having recently completed a grueling Ironman Triathlon.

In September, following a 30-week training programme that included up to 20 hours of fitness training a week, Peter completed the triathlon - a test of physical and mental endurance, comprising a 2.4 mile sea swim followed by a 112 mile cycle ride and a 26.2 mile run.

The event Peter took part in was the Challenge Weymouth triathlon, one of the European Triathlon Union long-course championships, held in the Dorset coastal town of Weymouth.

Starting at 7am, Peter completed a challenging swim against a heavy swell in a respectable 1hr 22mins. His strong cycling background helped him combat strong winds and was soon striding out for the final part of the challenge.

Notwithstanding the fatigue and the considerable quantity of seawater he'd swallowed, Peter finally crossed the finishing line in a respectable 14 hours and 30 minutes.

Now back at his day-job, Peter continues to promote the benefits of TREMCO waterproofing products with the wisdom that comes from personally demonstrating what "Lasting Performance" really means.
