When no marks from school update are a good thing for 24 hour print job
King's College Taunton was delighted with the printing of the recent update to its latest Sixth Form College brochure as Milborne Port printer Remous Print used its new light cure technology to turn around the job in less than 24 hours, leaving no messy print marks on the white pages.
Alan Bunter, director of Remous Print, explained why this job stood out from the crowd. "The brochure inserts had very prominent dark blue panels featuring on one side of the page and it was important these didn't show through on the other side of the white page. With our innovative light-cure press we were able to print on 200gsm uncoated paper leaving no marking and not having to factor in drying time meant we were able to turn this around in under 24 hours - the result was vibrant sharp and punchy colour on an uncoated sheet."
Remous Print, based on the Dorset/Somerset borders in Milborne Port, has invested around £1 million in the business over the past year including the purchase of a brand new machine, the first of its kind in the South West and one of only four in the UK. The Komori HUV uses unique light-cure technology so that everything printed is instantly dry, plus it is more vibrant and consistent than traditional print. This means that rather than waiting for drying the printed sheets are ready immediately to be turned and printed on the reverse or trimmed and folded. Customers requiring a very fast turnaround on premium quality litho print can benefit from this leading edge technology.
Marketing Co-ordinator for King's College Vicki Crandley said: "We have used Remous for some time and the quality of their printing is excellent as well as being good value. We were extremely pleased with the quality and look of the document they recently produced for us; they are always excellent when it comes to last minute requests and turning something round really quickly."
King's College is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 13-18 years. It is based on the edge of Taunton in an 80 acre site.
