Chris Gibson appointed as President of FFS Brands

Reading, 17^thOctober 2014:Chris Gibson has been appointed as the new President of FFS Brands Ltd, the home of Southern Fried Chicken, Vizu and AJs Piri Piri. Chris has been operating in corporate sales and franchising for more than ten years, having worked in senior roles with ChemEx, Castle Estates and Signarama, as well as operating his own consulting business. He is also author of the book Franchising Exposed and co-author of So, You Want to Buy a Franchise.

The appointment follows Chris' successful introduction to FFS Brands as Vice President International, where he has been responsible for the development of a series of Master Franchises for the Southern Fried Chicken brand across Europe, Middle East and Africa, including recent master franchise partnerships in Senegal, Ivory Coast, UAE, Lebanon and in Kuwait. This is a strategy that will continue under the direction of Chris, with future plans to treble the business within the next five years.

Following the death of founder Arthur Withers last year, his son, Andrew Withers will now take an Executive Chairman role within the company and will continue to oversee the organisation and its brands, acting as ambassador for the company.

Southern Fried Chicken holds one of the leading positions in the industry for successful franchising being the only European concept in the fast food industry with a network of more than 700 units in more than 80 countries worldwide.
