Interview opportunity following today's #MEDebate in Westminster Hall

An #MEDebate was held in Parliament this afternoon, organised by Carol Monaghan MP, which enabled MPs to speak up on behalf of the more than 250,000 people in the UK living with Myalgic Encephalopathy (M.E.). The debate included multiple references to the Oscar-shortlisted film UNREST, which the majority of those in attendance appeared to have watched. UNREST was directed by Jennifer Brea (New York) and stars Kent-based Jessica Taylor-Bearman, who was also referenced during the debate by MP Stephen Brine.

A Girl Behind Dark Glasses - M.E. story due for release in July (Hashtag Press)
Jessica's debut book, crowdfunded by supporters within the M.E. community, is due for release on July 3rd. It's a heart-wrenching insight into how her life went from active teen to hospitalised ‘patient' unable to move, communicate or do anything for herself for almost four years. Jessica's recovery has been incredible, her positive attitude unwavering, but she still spends the majority of her time bed-bound, she still suffers immense pain, and battles through extreme challenges most of us take for granted every day.
