Famous Wine Bar Opening in Croydon

PRESS RELEASE

ITALIAN WINE CAFÉ SET TO POP ITS CORK IN CROYDON

Veeno will be opening its doors - and bottles - to Croydon'swine lovers later this month. Situated in George Street, the new bar and café will be the perfect location for any occasion; from client lunches and after-work drinks, to birthday celebrations and Friday nights with friends.

Founded by two Italian friends living in Manchester, Veeno brings the authentic Italian ‘Aperitivo' to the region. The ritual of enjoying great wine and food with friends after work will soon be had, when doors open on Friday 29th June.

Celebrating all things Italiano, customers will feel like they're sipping on Sangiovese and feasting on focaccia in the Mediterranean sunshine. Veeno will offer everything from spuntini appetisers, desserts, expert-led tasting sessions, and of course, your reds, whites, rosés and fizzes. There will also be a fully-stocked bar offering craft beers and spirits, in case wine isn't your thing.

This is the 20th Veeno to open in the UK, with sites already in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Brighton, to name a few.

Nino Caruso, Co-Founder of Veeno, says:

"I cannot wait to open the doors to Veeno Croydon; our focus is creating an Aperitif-centred location for relaxation, serving up high quality food and the finest Sicilian wines around.

"We want people from all walks of life to come and enjoy lunch and dinner throughout the week, so whether you're grabbing a quick lunch at work or having a big night out at the weekend, Veeno is the place to be!"

Veeno's own wines come from Caruso & Minini, Nino's family vineyard back in Sicily, where the first vines were planted in the 19th century. Maintaining a focus on quality and tradition, Veeno's wines are quality-assured, making sure that from vineyard to glass, customers are getting the highest quality ingredients and fermentation methods.

Customers will get the ‘real deal' when it comes to Veeno's food too, as everything is imported from hand-picked Italian producers. Offering a broad menu of Italian ‘spuntini,' including cured meats, cheeses, salads and more, the staff at Veeno will be able to recommend the perfect wine to compliment your menu choices, and vice versa. Not to forget the stunning dessert menu, for those who really want to indulge in a traditional Italian ‘pick me up,' also known as Tiramisu, alongside a dessert wine, after a long day.

Veeno's UK-wide success is a testament to its authentic wine, food and atmosphere, where customers can feel like regulars from their very first visit, and Croydon is the next lucky recipient to play host to a Veeno of its own.
