PRESS RELEASE

Issued 19 December 2012 – for immediate release

Webster's opens new store at Bluewater

In its 40thanniversary year, Webster's Pen Shop has opened a new store – a Montblanc boutique – at Bluewater and the company is planning a total refit of another.

The family-owned group of stores retailing high-quality pens and accessories across London and the Southeast is marking its 40-year milestone in style with the launch of its Montblanc boutique. Located in Bluewater's Rose Gallery in the Upper Mall (near John Lewis), the new store offers an extensive range of luxury watches, fragrances, jewellery, leather goods and pens from the legendary German brand.

The new store is located in the retail unit that was formerly home to Webster's Pen Shop, which has been relocated immediately opposite with a temporary fit-out, as the shop will benefit from a complete makeover in March 2013. As before, Webster's Pen Shop offers a fabulous range of writing instruments to suit all tastes and pockets, in addition to a range of luxury gifts.

The new Montblanc boutique was officially opened by the company's founders, Len and Jacqui Webster, who co-own the new venture with their daughter, Jo, who also manages the store. The Montblanc outlet is the group's sixth store, alongside Webster's Pen Shops in Bluewater, Bromley (the Glades), Croydon (the Whitgift Centre), Petts Wood and Brighton – as well as the group's online store at www.websterspenshop.co.uk.

Commented Andrew Webster, Len and Jacqui's son and Managing Director of the family business, "We're delighted to be able to make these significant investments in our anniversary year, underlining the fact that the demand for luxury goods remains strong, despite the state of the economy. It's heartening to know that our customers still recognise and value quality craftsmanship."
