Barrett Steel creates new family under Energy Products / 29.10.12
Barrett Steel Energy Products(BSEP), created to serve the oil and gas industry worldwide, has been further expanded to incorporate the Integriti, Barrett Nickel Alloys, Barrett Steel Energy Products (Montrose) and Barrett Steel Energy Products (Houston) businesses. The new business group will be exhibiting at Valveworld 2012, 27th - 29th November on Stand F92, Hall 3, Düsseldorf Messe.
The new organisation promises to set itself apart from its competitors by combining technical knowledge and expertise with a meticulous approach to customer care.
As part of the Barrett Steel Group BSEP has its roots firmly set in the origins of the steel industry, and with its dedicated team of oilfield specialists the business has already established itself at the cutting edge of material solutions for all oilfield challenges.
John Childs, Managing Director, Barrett Steel Engineering Division, says: "With the launch of Barrett Steel Energy Products in Houston, Texas last year we have already demonstrated the Group's commitment to the oil and gas sectors.
"Introducing Barrett Nickel Alloys and Integriti to the BSEP portfolio supports our strategy of global growth by bringing our stockholding and manufacturing facilities under one umbrella with a strong corporate identity."
BSEP's Houston and Montrose operations specialise in raw materials for the downhole tool and equipment used in the oil and gas industry, including solid bar, hollows and tubing that meet the requirements of all oil patch grades. A deep hole boring service is also offered to customers using their own free issue material as well as BSEP stock.
The Nickel Alloys business brings low alloy, stainless and nickel alloy products into the mix; products with a proof machined surface are available, and turned, milled, bored and drilled proof-machined parts can be manufactured to customer drawings.
Integriti, based in Newcastle upon Tyne and Ayr, adds forging and machining capabilities to the new Barrett Steel Energy Products business. Integriti is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of performance critical products, specialising in the supply of bespoke components manufactured to the extremely demanding specifications set by the oil, petrochemical and power generation industries.
