Operis launch OAK5 - the latest version of the world's favourite financial modelling software
The Operis Analysis Kit (OAK) is the world's leading tool used to review and develop complex spreadsheets. It is a well-known Excel Add-in used by financial modellers in the world's largest banks, blue-chip firms and public sector bodies. OAK received a Lifetime Achievement Award at The Financial Modelling Innovation awards last month.
The fifth-generation version of the software, OAK5, is now available offering an additional set of powerful and cutting-edge tools that help any Excel user identify potential formula risk, lack of compliance with industry standard modelling good practices and improve model quality.
OAK5 gives users the ability to make sense of complex spreadsheets in order to identify shortcomings and mitigate the risk of making poor decisions. OAK5 provides the ability to save time in reviewing, developing and evaluating complex spreadsheets.
The four core tools collect key information about the model regarding the size, layout, formula complexity and formulae risk offering valuable insights for reviewers and model developers. This includes a powerful Search tool to identify cells not aligned with the best modelling practices.
The Professional tools increase the granularity of the analysis by allowing users to fully understand the model mechanics to the formula level regardless of its complexity whether by identifying discrepancies between two formulas to the possibility or pruning any calculations that are not on the active path of a formula.
Rui Sobreiros, OAK5 product manager, said: "OAK5 is a significant upgrade in the development of our industry-leading software - it's better, faster and smarter. We have listened to user feedback and modified our offering to produce a state-of-the-art solution of which we are extremely proud."
Clients of OAK5 also get access to a Windows application, the OAK5 Desktop Edition, which allows modellers to run three Essentials tools (Summarize, Map and Compare) using 64-bits memory management even if the installed Excel version is only 32 bits.
OAK5 is available under a subscription licensing model offering true flexibility and convenience to accommodate the needs of any modeller. Customers have the choice between a monthly rolling contract or a pre-paid annual plan.
