West Yorkshire garden centres host festive play sessions for charity

 

Tong and Tingley Garden Centres are to host festive-themed play sessions to raise money for their charity of the year.

 

The Grass Hoppers team at both centres have launched ‘Grinchmas' playtime parties as part of its fundraising campaign for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

 

The parties take place at Tong Garden Centre at 4.30 pm on 13thDecember and at the same time at Tingley on 14thDecember. Tickets cost £15.95 and include an hour and three quarters' play time, a meet and greet with the Grinch and his elves, access to the disco room, food and a toy of the child's choice.

"We're very excited to introduce these unique party sessions as part of our family festive programme this year. Not only do children get to experience great play, but they're also helping us to reach our fundraising target of £19,000 for this year," said Caroline Ellis, Group Play Manager.

"Thank youto RMS Toys, Padgetts Toys, Potts Bakery and Atlantic Workwear for their generous donations that mean that we have more money to donate to Yorkshire Air Ambulance."

Other festive activities at Tong and Tingley Garden Centres include Santa's Grotto,an ice rink for family skating at Tingley, a VR ride at Tong,Breakfast with Santa, Festive Afternoon Teas, seasonal menus, special offers and late-night opening.

Tong and Tingley Garden Centres are members of the Yorkshire Garden Centres family that also owns the former Stephen H Smith's Garden Centres in Otley and Bingley.

 

Through a series of fund-raising events and collection boxes at the tills, Yorkshire Garden Centres hope to raise funds for theindependent charity that relies solely on the donations of individuals and organisations to provide itslifesaving rapid response emergency service to five million people throughout Yorkshire.
