Are we still safe to flirt in 2023?
Colchester is hosting an immersive ‘promenade theatre' cabaret show at The Headgate Theatre.

A show that chews up and spits out the dating rule book!

Imagine...You're suddenly single and back into the shark pit of dating. Forget Plenty of Fish, Tinderland and the rest of those pesky dating apps.  A new theatre show has the solution!

Sick of you bemoaning that you'll never find love again, your best mate has dragged you off the sofa to a cabaret night. Despite your protests that the apps are the answer, your BFF is convinced you're going to meet someone in the old-fashioned way! No apps, but in person! And they are not wrong...

This perfect mix of immersive theatre and cabaret, blurs the boundaries between audience and actor as they join Theatre Inspiring Change at their playground of flirting, butterflies, new love, and the reality of dating.

Moving around different spaces at The Headgate, the audience get to follow the journey of unsuspecting couple Evelyn and Adam, culminating in a fabulous cabaret show of celebration or disaster. Which will it be?

Funded by the PFCC, Colchester City Council and supported by Colchester BID, the ticket price of £5 for outstanding cabaret, comedy and reality results in an intoxicating mix of love!

Date: 13thSeptember 2023

Time: 7.30pm
