As Brit DJ, presenter and broadcaster, Pete Tong MBE, prepares to play for King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the Coronation Celebration Concert, he promises to recreate a slice of that coronation moment when he brings Ibiza Classics to Powerham Castle on 28 August.  Handpicking‘Feel The Love' for the coronation concert, Pete Tong will perform that same song to Exeter crowds this summer, as a tip of the hat to this very special coronation year...a special moment in history that Exeter can share first hand with Pete Tong.

‘What an honour to be chosen to play for the new King and Queen at the Coronation!' smiles Pete. ‘I've selected ‘Feel The Love' by Rudimental Feat John Newman, from the Ibiza Classics show, to bring a ray of house-stompin' sunshine to the celebrations. And I'll bring that slice of the coronation to Powderham Castle in Exeter, when we bring Ibiza Classics and our Jules Buckley Orchestra to town. When that track plays, I think it'll be a Great British celebration of our new King Charles III all over again. Come down to Exeter and celebrate with us!'

For one special evening, the tranquillity of Powderham Castle, will undergo a midsummer Ibizan takeover, as the pioneer of global-change in house music, rediscovers those banging underground classics.  Featuring the 65-piece The Essential Orchestra, which is produced, arranged & conducted by Jules Buckley, (alongside a host of guest DJs and singers), the evening will bring the worlds of classical and club together, with stunningly reimagined versions of classic house tracks including ‘Rhythm Is A Dancer',  ‘Café Del Mar', ‘Insomnia', ‘ ‘Free' and of course the special Coronation track ‘Feel The Love'. Prepare to kick of your shoes for a Tong-takeover which will see you dancing in your park  like never before.

PETE TONGhas been the definitive voice of the electronic music scene for decades, an influencer for generations of electronic music fans around the world. But don't ever think of Pete Tong as part of the establishment. In fact, throughout his varied and astonishing career, he's been a catalyst, a genuine agent for change. And it's all based around a simple yet relentless personal mission: to find great music and talent, and to share it with as many people as possible.

Take the Ibiza Classics project, the globally touring, live orchestral extravaganza that's seen Tong and collaborators Jules Buckley, taking electronic music to another dimension. Initially conceived as a one-off for the Proms classical music festival in 2015, translating some of the most loved dance music anthems for an orchestra to celebrate 20 years of Radio One in Ibiza, the way that Classics caught the imagination shocked even Pete.

And through dozens of genuinely live orchestral shows (ranging from The Hollywood Bowl to London's O2 to, inevitably, Ibiza) and three albums (‘Classic House', ‘Ibiza Classics' and ‘Chilled Classics') the project has continued to push boundaries,  bringing in contemporary collaborators like Tale Of Us, ARTBAT, Kølsch and Tiësto to remix seminal tracks and exploring the full theatrical potential of instrumentals like ‘Age Of Love' and even the work of Hans Zimmer.
