Recruiter Capability Jane becomes CJ Talent in major rebranding as pandemic drives long term shift in work patterns

Recruitment company Capability Jane has undergone a major rebrand including changing the company name toCJ Talent.  The company ran a recent survey which revealed that for the majority of workers, working patterns have changed since the pandemic, with 70% of employees stating that hybrid working is now their regular work pattern.

CJ Talent, who specialise in bringing together candidates looking for senior roles, with forward-thinking organisations which offer flexible, or hybrid working and want exceptional talent, surveyed nearly 500 people (including both employers and employees) over a six-month period.

The research shows that the majority of employers were offering multiple options and the findings were:

  • Nearly 83% were offering hybrid working
  • Part-time accounted for over 77%
  • Just over 50% allowed staff to work entirely remotely
  • Nearly 40% offered flexitime
  • Other flexible options available included condensed working hours, staggered retirement, and annualised hours.

Employees reported that for 65%, hybrid working was their ideal work situation, over a quarter would like to be fully remote and fewer than 3% wanted to be fully office based.  It was no surprise that flexible working was extremely important to the majority of people (82%).

The increase in flexibility and hybrid working may be here to stay; CJ Talent has always been a strong advocate for this way of working, and the rebranding is one of the ways that the company (which boasts a database of more than 20,000 people looking for flexible work) is solidifying its position as an industry leader when it comes to flexible working.

Managing Director Caroline Doherty said: "At CJ Talent we have been pushing for more flexible working since we started 16 years ago, so it's great to see so many businesses adopting a more flexible model. Having a more flexible way of working is an excellent way of retaining and attracting the best talent. In the early days flexibility was seen as something required by mothers returning to work, but it's refreshing to see the world of work changing and understanding that flexibility should be available to everybody for the host of advantages it brings. These new ways of working benefit everybody; the organisations, and their people."

Previously known as Capability Jane, the company has rebranded to CJ Talent to reflect the changes seen in the workplace and to recognise the fact that flexibility should be an option for everybody. The rebrand incorporates a new logo, message, and website. The rebranding work was carried out by Visual Safari.
