Women from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset are among those celebrating reaching the semi-finals in the inaugural year of the West Country Women Awards.
The annual awards recognise and celebrate the amazing women all across the region and were set up this summer by Alexis Bowater OBE and Tess Stuber.
More than 1,000 nominations were received across all 15 categories that include Women in STEM, Women in Tech, The Phoenix Award, Women in Health, Best Supporting Act, Combatting Violence Against Women and Girls among many others.
The Semi-Finalists were announced at an afternoon event at Women in STEM sponsor Msubs in Plymouth.
Judges stressed the difficulties of narrowing down the entries to just six per category and emphasised how difficult it had been to make their decisions.
The finalists will be announced at an afternoon event at Powderham Castle in Devon on October 31st before going forward to the Grand Finals at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth on December 1st.
