Acer has released the Aspire Vero laptop as part of their commitment to a more sustainable future

There will be 2 challenges across 2 months, allowing the HumanForest community to plant trees for every 20km they ride, as well as the opportunity to win an Aspire Vero laptop

London, 22 August 2022:HumanForest has partnered with tech company Acer for two months in support of their latest product, the Aspire Vero laptop.

The Aspire Vero is a newly designed PC with a number of environmentally conscious specifications, contributing to Acer's growing sustainability commitments. Most notable is the laptop chassis being made from 30% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR Plastic) - contributing to a 21% reduction of CO2 emissions compared to the production of a standard laptop.

Acer's carbon-saving actions strongly align with HumanForest's mission, which not only encourages its community to switch to their non-carbon emitting eBikes, but also uses 100% renewable energy for its entire fleet and operations.

The compatibility of HumanForest's latest partnership with Acer is evident, and this will be conveyed on the app in both the typical in-app marketing format, as well as through HumanForest's innovative challenge feature.

HumanForest's aim with its challenges is to raise awareness amongst its riders, or "Treenions", of the wider impact that their cycling is having on the environment, as well as their mental and physical health. Depending on the type of challenge being hosted, each rider will be able to monitor the amount of CO2 they have saved from being emitted, the hours they have spent in the great outdoors and the amount of calories they have burned through cycling.

Across the two month partnership, Acer will be sponsoring two different challenges, with particular focus on the amount of CO2 saved. Firstly, in collaboration with Ecologi, for every 20km ridden by a HumanForest customer, Acer will plant a tree. This is in line with Acer's pledge, whereby for every Aspire Vero purchased, 100 trees will be planted. Whilst this cements Acer's sustainability commitments, it also furthers the contribution to a cleaner, greener planet already made by HumanForest users travelling by eBike.

The partnership with Acer culminates with their monthly challenge, which will see 2 lucky HumanForest users win their own Aspire Vero laptop simply by pedalling. The top 50 customers who have saved the most CO2 whilst riding with HumanForest will be placed in a draw and 1 winner will be randomly selected for each month of the partnership.

Craig Booth, Acer UK Country Manager, said:

"As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are delighted to partner with HumanForest. In addition to the focus on the environment, it also challenges people to get on their bikes and get outdoors. This is great for mental and physical health and something we feel is very important to advocate and support.

Having everyone working together for a common goal also fosters a real sense of community and something we are proud to be part of."

Charlotte Pepperell, Interim Head of Partnerships at HumanForest, said:

"It's an absolute pleasure to welcome Acer into the HumanForest partner community. Not only will this directly contribute to the reduction of CO2 in the urban environment, but it helps riders consider their impact beyond pedalling, with a tree being planted for every 20km ridden.

There is such fantastic alignment between both Acer and HumanForest, with shared missions around reducing carbon emissions, waste, and a commitment to a cleaner, greener future."
