Expert available to comment Johnny vs Amber: What no-one is picking up on...

Plus: World Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day - 1 June 2022

Narcissistic Abuse is in the press all the time. Netflix seems to have almost nothing else to watch anymore: The Tinder Swindler, Inventing Anna, Dirty John and the list goes on...

The Johnny Depp & Amber Heard trial is streaming record numbers.

We are being fed lines to paint a picture of Johnny Depp the violent, manipulative abuser. But... fancy pressing record on your phone while your husband is self-harming? Seriously Amber?

Expert available to comment, Ronia Fraser, 40, knows from first-hand experience how it is to be on the receiving end of narcissistic abuse. The self-hatred, the desperation to find a release for the emotional pain and torture. She also knows how it is when the abuser intentionally breaks you down emotionally and then puts a knife in your hand to do their dirty work for them, all while pretending to be caring and distraught.

Narcissistic Abuse cost Ronia her successful Finance career in the music industry, house in the Hollywood Hills, (mental) health, identity and literally almost her life.

Today Ronia Fraser is a multi-award-winning Trauma Recovery Coach & Clinical Hypnotherapist and a global leading expert in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, widely considered a pioneer in the field.

For over 5 years she's been running a highly sought-after international trauma recovery coaching practice, helping abuse survivor from all over the world get back on their feet, regain their mental health and recover who they were always meant to be.

Her award-winning trauma recovery programme has helped the likes of doctors, lawyers, accountants, head teachers, senior managers and executives, business founders and high-flying performers, who are strong, independent, smart, successful and powerful women and men.

Narcissistic Abuse is emotional and psychological abuse on the most sophisticated level. There is nothing black and white about it.

It's by no means all about self-harm and knives, it's about calculated manipulation, emotional blackmail and the tactical erosion of identity. The slow ebbing away of confidence, (mental) health, and sanity.

It's important to understand that abuse isn't always physically violent but can be invisible, yet the adverse impact on the survivor no less detrimental.

Narcissistic Abuse doesn't only happen for high-profile celebrity couples. It's an everyday occurrence that is happening to women and men all over this country in romantic relationships, in the workplace and in families alike.

According to Refuge (the UK's largest charity for supporting women and children escaping domestic violence):

  • one in four women in the UK will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime and it's important to recognise it's not always physical.
  • In 2020/2021 there were over 11,000 contacts to NSPCC about emotional abuse alone.
  • 7 out of 10 survivors of psychological abuse display symptoms of complex PTSD and/or depression.

The ‘Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard' trial is expected to conclude sometime around the time of World Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day on June 1

This is the perfect opportunity to discuss this candid yet incredibly important topic in more detail.

Addressing Narcissistic Abuse will inspire, empower and give hope to all those incredible women and men, who are struggling or may not even realise what they are dealing with.
