The Ultimate Elton to perform at Summer Party

‘Elton' comes to Ascott-u-Wychwood

Paul Bacon, aka ‘The Ultimate Elton' has been hitting the headlines having played at Elton John's mother, Sheila Farebrother's, 90thbirthday party.

Sheila says Paul is "simply the best tribute to Elton and I should know."

He has been featured on ‘This Morning' and Chris Evans' Breakfast Show. Now, later, this month, on 21 August, you can see him live. The Ultimate Elton is performing at the Swan, Ascott-under-Wychood as he joins the line-up for the Summer Party & Village Shindig.

Some tribute artists look like their idol, some sound like their idol. Paul Bacon as Elton John does both. Close your eyes and you won't believe your ears, open your eyes and you won't believe them either! You simply won't find a closer tribute to Sir Elton John.

In addition to Sheila, Paul's performance has been endorsed by many of the team who have been close to the real Elton John during his career, including his former manager John Reid. John, who said: "Having been Elton John's manager for 28 years, I was absolutely flabbergasted when I saw Paul walk out to take the stage, momentarily believing it was Elton himself when he started to sing I was even more convinced. I defy anyone not to believe that Paul Bacon is "The Ultimate Elton" tribute artiste.

A lifelong Elton John fan, Paul first started singing and performing Elton's songs whilst studying Performing Arts at University in the early 1980's. With an extraordinarily similar singing voice to Sir Elton's, Paul is able to draw on an amazing back catalogue of hits to produce a truly wonderful celebration of Sir Elton's music. Paul's performances also feature some of Sir Elton's actual clothes, bought from his ‘Out the Closet' sales.

Sir Elton John now reputedly charges £2 million for a private function. You'll be pleased to hear that the shindig at The Swan at Ascott-under-Wychwood will be not quite so expensive. £25 - including food. Book onlinewww.swanatascott.com/events1.html

And it is great line-up for the night. The Wurzels, famed for their "Combine Harvester" and "Cider Drinker" hits, are definitely performing in the right place - the garden of the Swan Inn, which recently hosted the Swanfest Folk, Ale and Cider festival starring Barbara Dixon.

Completing the line-up are The Birmingham Blues Brothers who will be performing all the Jake and Elwood hits.

The Summer Party promises to be a real shindig. Tickets are limited, so book today. http://www.swanatascott.com/events1.html
