Legges pies will leave you "Craven" their latest recipe

To celebrate a celebrity visit byCountryfile'sJohn Craven last week, Bromyard pie maker Legges created ‘The Celebrity' pie specially for the presenter. The pie will feature on Countryfile this Sunday on BBC1 at 8pm.

The Celebrity pie features a smiling character of the BBC presenter and is a recipe of Herefordshire pork, perry, pear, and nettle.

Owner Anthony Legge commented, "It was great to be recognised as a specialist producer in the area and to make John Craven a  truly Herefordshire pie made with local perry and pears. John enjoyed the pie so much we decided to make it a new addition to the range!"

Legges pies shot to stardom after a rave review from food critic AA Gill. Their Herefordshire following has now spread nationally and they have an online pie shop leggesofbromyard.com as well as being stocked in the new motorway foodie stop-Gloucester services.

The range of pies has been created with characters from a typical English rural village in mind, and includes: The Old Boy, The Farmer, The Rambler and The Town Crier. The pies are made on-site at the bustling shop where all of the meat is sourced within a 6-mile radius, and owner, Anthony Legge, knows all his producers personally.

The new pie is £5.50 and is available to purchase  at Legges of Bromyard, online at leggesofbromyard.com or at local food events throughout the year.

Legges will feature in this Sunday's Countryfile broadcast on BBC1 at 8pm
