Shoppers check out to check-in and win £3000 dream holiday courtesy of Isla Negra Wines

 

Coventry residents Sharon and Dave Thomas thought they were dreaming when they were presented with a cheque for £3,000 to spend on a dream holiday, courtesy of Isla Negra wines whilst doing their weekly shop. The stunt was to launch promotional activity by the well-known Chilean wine brand at the Tesco Arena store in Coventry on 21stAugust.

The couple who found the first winning Isla Negra wine bottle for the brands new#myislanegracampaign, were wowed when their checkout suddenly turned into an airport check-in desk and were surrounded by a flash mob of holiday makers and presented with a cheque to spend on a dream holiday.

Mrs. Thomas said that she was "delighted and a bit overwhelmed" with the news. "I'm still trying to take it in, we've never won anything before" she added.

The stunt was covertly filmed and will launch Isla Negra's latest on-pack competition for consumers to win one of 50 cash prizes to spend on a dream holiday. Winners simply need to enter the unique code they find on their Isla Negra Seashore bottle on the competition sitemyislanegra.co.ukand play a fun beach game to find out if they've won.

Mark Hastings, Manager of Tesco Arena, said, "The stunt was tremendously good fun and it was great to spread a little happiness. The staff all joined in and there was a real carnival atmosphere in-store. Isla Negra certainly bought us some Chilean cheer!"

The stunt was delivered by experiential agency LIVE, working alongside Isla Negra's Creative Agency, The Seed Group. 

The couple plans to spend the money on a romantic Caribbean holiday of their dreams next year. Here is a picture of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas with their Isla Negra boarding pass.
