International singing star Bill Medley, known as one half of the super-successful group the Righteous Brothers, famed for such hits as ‘You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', ‘Unchained Melody' and ‘I've Had the Time of My Life', has led both a charmed and tragic life.

Bill Medley shares it all, from the giddy heights of worldwide musical success and public adulation, to the lows of the breakup with fellow Righteous Brother, Bobby Hatfield; losing his voice, prostate cancer, failed relationships, divorce and the devastating murder of his wife Karen; to the strength he has found in the love of his family, the enduring love for his second wife, Paula, and his renewed Christian faith.

Fifty years after his first hit single, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bill Medley remains an icon of popular music and one of its most beloved voices.

From an early age Bill Medley had a passion for music, as his father played saxophone and his mother played piano and sang. School glee club and amateur singing contests soon gave way to the music of Ray Charles and Little Richard. That raw R&B influence was to profoundly shape Bill's musical future. "When I heard Little Richard," he reflects, "I knew I wanted to do that. When I heard Ray Charles, I knew I needed to do that."

As the pioneering ‘blue-eyed soul' group the Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley and his late partner Bobby Hatfield sang such huge 60s and 70s hits as ‘You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', ‘(You're My) Soul and Inspiration', ‘Unchained Melody', and ‘Rock and Roll Heaven'. Their music has never lost its popularity—constantly playing on radio, television, and film, with ‘Lovin Feelin'' being recognised by BMI as the most-played song of the 20th Century. Bill also had enormous success with ‘(I've Had) The Time of My Life', his duet with Jennifer Warnes for the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, that became a worldwide #1 single on the way to winning an Oscar, a Grammy, and a Golden Globe.

But Bill's story isn't just about the #1 hits and the awards. It's the story of an immensely talented young guy who lived the rock star life and reached the pinnacle of fame, success, and excess, until the tragic murder of his wife Karen in 1976, after which he was eventually able to renew his commitment to both his faith and his family. In 2003, Bill and Bobby were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Billy Joel.

Bill continues to tour year-round to sold-out crowds, and loves to spend time with Paula, his wife of 27 years, and his children.
