National care trust embraces the new water retail market press release

National care trust embraces the new water retail market

The water retail market opened in April 2017 and brought competition and the opportunity for businesses to reduce costs.

Since the market opened businesses and other non-household organisations have been able to choose their water retailer, with many organisations that have multiple sites choosing to consolidate their bills under one retail company.

This is exactly what national care provider The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) has chosen to do by agreeing a three-year contract with business water retailer water2business.

The Trust provides care in 72 homes across Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. With over 4,000 staff and 3,500 residents, the Trust puts its residents at the heart of everything it does and aims to deliver the highest standard of care.

One of the main aims of water2business, alongside providing excellent customer service and stable and consistent billing, is to help customers reduce their water consumption and make savings by implementing efficiency measures.

water2business has a long-term relationship with the Trust. Account manager, Neil Mullins, has provided ongoing support, including completing efficiency audits and tariff validation for 18 homes, which has made the Trust considerable savings.

Mr Mullins said: "We are delighted to increase our support to the Trust's full portfolio. I have worked with the Trust for the last 10 years, and this is a fantastic opportunity to build on our existing relationship and look at improving water efficiency across its entire property portfolio."

OSJCT's procurement manager, Fiona Flint, said: "The Orders of St John Care Trust is delighted that water2business has been successful in securing this contract. Our previous experience working with them has shown the company to be proactive and genuine in its efforts to help us save water and reduce costs."

water2business business development manager, Andy Coates, said: "I am absolutely delighted that we are able to now extend our support to The Orders of St John Care Trust for its entire portfolio. Neil has delivered some fantastic efficiency work and savings in the past, and we now have the opportunity to build on this relationship further and support the entire Trust in being as water efficient as possible."

water2business was born out of a joint billing venture created between Wessex Water and Bristol Water in 2000. In April 2017, it started competing in the new non-household water retail market, using its extensive industry knowledge and proven track record to deliver services for businesses, charities, schools and other non-household water users.
