Goldworthy's showcase runway hair at Hairdresser's Journal Live

Demonstrating strong feminine looks with a tribal twist, award-winning South West hairdressing chain Goldsworthy's created a buzz with their runway looks at HJ Live in February 2018.

The Swindon salon's artistic and bridal team took to the stage to create a range of show stopping avante-garde looks designed to be strong on texture to celebrate 100 years of women's rights.

Stylists Kate Lloyd and Jess Larrad transformed the hair of models Abi and Lorel on the day, while Julian Clarke, Goldsworthy's style director, compered the styling.

HJ Live 2018 took place at London ExCeL on February 25 and 26, hosted in conjunction with Professional Beauty London. Goldsworthy's headed to London for the second day of the event, which saw some of the hottest young UK stylists come together with some of the biggest names in the hairdressing business, demonstrating cutting techniques, Fashion Week collections and a range of both wearable and more creative styles.

Alongside the live stages were the latest product launches, the opportunity to try new things, in-show offers, networking and plenty more. Visitors - including the Goldsworthy's team - left with plenty of ideas and inspiration to take back to the salon, staying abreast of current cutting and styling trends.

Goldsworthy's style director, Julian Clarke said: "It was a privilege to be on stage at this year's HJ Live alongside some true industry greats, showcasing the talents of our stylists to the hairdressing industry. It was a well-attended event with plenty of valuable insight to take home, and one where we enjoyed a great amount of buzz around both the hair and makeup elements of our bridal team."

The family-run Goldsworthy's salons were established in 1961, beginning with their Swindon salon and subsequently expanding to Cirencester and Marlborough. The family are five-time winners of the prestigious Wales and South West Hairdresser of the Year Award. Second generation Steven Goldsworthy was formerly president of the Fellowship of British Hairdressing and Goldsworthy's remain members to this day.

Steven himself has over 35 years of experience in hairdressing and a vast knowledge of the science of hair. A recognised authority on hair loss, he specialises in diagnosing exact causes of hair loss, allowing him to give tailored advice and care to every single client.
