Bartercard, the world’s largest trade exchange, is delighted to announce that it is be the official trade exchange partner for the Scottish Rugby League.

Under the new deal, Bartercard branding will be proudly and prominently displayed on the shirts of the Scottish team as they take part in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. This is the fifteenth iteration of the global tournament and this time will be held in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea between 27 October and 2 December 2017.

The team’s shirts, featuring the Bartercard logo, have been produced by the global sportswear clothing company BLK, who are also sponsors of the team. Bartercard will also be featured on the Scotland Rugby Football League website.

Scotland Rugby League chairman, Keith Hogg, said “Scotland Rugby League is very pleased to be working with Bartercard as our new major sponsor. There is a natural fit between the Bartercard brand and all it stands for and Scotland Rugby League. With two of our World Cup matches being played in Cairns and one in Christchurch we can help drive awareness of the Bartercard brand and they can help us get best value from their investment in Scotland Rugby League. We look forward to a long working relationship with Bartercard'

The World Cup, held every four years, will include 28 matches over 36 days played across 12 venues in three countries. These are played by 14 teams spread across four groups. This year, Scotland entered the tournament as the world’s fourth-ranking team having reached the quarter-finals of the 2013 event. 

Selected matches from the tournament will be available to watch in the UK via the BBC. In particular, one quarter-final, one semi-final and the final will be shown live. Reports and highlights from all games involving Scotland will be available online, the national broadcaster says.
